In 2003 I had the opportunity to go on a Mission trip through my University in working with Kids Alive International to Lima, Peru. In my time there we worked directly with the Manchay Care Center. In working with the Care Center directly I have seen the heart of the people that keep this place running smoothly. I can not express the love and passion these people have for the children and doing everything that they can to provide a better life for them. They provide a great education, teach them about the love of Christ, and the opportunity for a better future. In the short 3 weeks of being there I was more impacted by the love of these people and the amazing kids that I wanted to help in anyway that I could to continue to see amazing things done at the Manchay Oasis Care Center.
On September 24, 2011 I will be participating in the Redman Half Ironman Triathlon. This is a 70.3 mile race that is a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 Mile run. My goal for this race is to raise $2100 or about $30 Dollars/Mile. With your donation you will help the Care Center build better lives for children and will also be in my thoughts throughout the race to push me to the finish.
100% of your donations will go directly to the Manchay Oasis Care Center through Kids Alive, and all donations are eligible for Tax deductions.
